9am - 11am Teaching Music to Students with Differences and Disabilites
Students with disabilities in music enembles can excel. They often need adaptations or some winding of expectations to become full participants. We will discuss these adaptations and winding ideas and how they apply to secondary ensemble settings.
11am - 12pm Roundtable Luncheon with Dr Hammel (lunch provided)
12pm - 2pm Universal Design and Creative Movement
This presentation explores the application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in music education, focusing on creative inclusive learning environments that provide specific strategies for diverse student needs.
